In light of the developments taking place in Qatar and the region, transportation for our citizens who wish to travel overland from Qatar to Saudi Arabia to Riyadh International Airport (RUH) will be provided by buses arranged by our Embassy.
Efforts are underway to complete the necessary arrangements as soon as possible, and it is envisaged that bus services will operate twice daily, at 11:00 a.m. (morning service) and 2:00 p.m. (afternoon service).
In accordance with current procedures, our citizens are required to obtain their Saudi Arabian visas online prior to travel. Citizens will also be responsible for making their own onward flight arrangements after arriving at Riyadh International Airport. The bus journey is expected to take between 10 and 12 hours.
In this context, citizens wishing to travel from Qatar to Saudi Arabia are required to register promptly via www.dohaevent.com by selecting their preferred date and time for the bus service and completing their information in full (including, separately, any accompanying family members, including children, and/or other persons traveling with them).
Citizens who register on our Doha–Riyadh bus service list will also receive a confirmation email at the email address provided in their contact details during registration, containing information regarding the bus service (including the departure point, date, and time).
Citizens are required to make their own way to the departure point for the bus service on the selected date and time.
Citizens who, after receiving a confirmation email from our Embassy, fail to arrive at the departure point without notifying a force majeure reason in a timely manner will lose their registration priority for the next bus service.
Applications will begin once the necessary permissions have been completed. In this regard, you are advised to follow our Embassy’s social media accounts.
Citizens are expected to be prepared, taking into account the possible disruptions that may arise during these journeys.
